The parade again starts at 10:45 AM and it begins at Redwood and Sequoia streets. From there, they are going to make a left onto Sycamore Avenue, go down the street, and then the procession itself is going to end at Refugio Valley Park.

4th Annual Hercules Dynamite 5K Run/Walk

At the Hercules Dynamite 5K run/walk, attendees have the ability to register for one of three different races. There is the annual 5K that begins at 8:30 AM. There is also a one-mile annual fun run that starts at 8:45 AM. And finally, if the kids want to participate, the Kids Run begins at 9:30 AM.

Believe it or not, this event is relatively competitive and they even offer prizes to the contestants. Yes, the top three male and top three female competitors have the ability to win sensational cash prizes.

But racing in any of the three events is only part of the fun. You’ll also have the opportunity to get a custom event shirt if you register in time, plus you get to participate in an exciting race with other members of the community. This will help you get to know your friends and neighbors better and give you a chance to explore and enjoy the beautiful eucalyptus trees that can be found in scenic Refugio Valley Park.

Remember, the 5K race and the other races are only just the beginning of the excitement on this very day. When you celebrate Independence Day in Hercules, you also have a chance to go to the wonderful post-race festival and really take a moment to kick back, unwind, and have a great time with other members of your amazing community.

Hercules 4th of July Festival in Refugio Valley Park

After all of the races are over, you’ll definitely want to stick around to experience a wonderful festival on this important day in American history. By joining in on the festivities, you’ll be invited to eat great food, enjoy exciting refreshments, experience wonderful entertainment, and visit many of the amazing vendor booths that will be on display this year.

Believe it or not, the festival actually starts at 7 AM and ends at 3 PM. So there’s definitely going to be a lot going on and you should be excited because this opportunity only comes around once a year.
